Holiday Make Up Must Haves!

Around the holidays you always want to look your best. You go to more parties, and see more people, around the holidays than you do any other time of the year. Most of us do our best to look fresh, clean and festive. A few things I find very necessary this time of year are:
1. Good Eye Make-Up Remover: A must have for removing all that 'smoky' eye makeup and 'big lash' mascara. I can't live without the Dermalogica Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover. I find it great for people who wear contacts, as your eyes can be so sensitive to other harsh cleansers. The Elaine Gregg Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover is also a great product for people with dry skin, as it seems to be more of an oil based product than a harsh gel.
2. Skin Primer: A primer, or lack thereof, can definitely make or break an awesome makeup job. One of my favorite products in general is the ZO Skin Health Oclipse Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30. I also like the gloMinerals face primer as it slides on smooth as silk! These will help 'fill in' and give you a smooth surface before applying foundation. I also use the gloMinerals lid primer as it keeps my eye makeup clean and helps it stay on longer.
3. Mineral, non-pore clogging foundation: Whether you like liquid or powder, loose or pressed, gloMinerals is the way to go. I love that my make-up is NEVER the cause of a breakout, and it has contains Titanium Dioxide that works as a second sunblock. I love the gloMinerals pressed powder for it's amazing coverage. The gloProtective liquid foundation is also great and not heavy or 'cakey' like so many liquid foundations.
4. Fun Holiday Make-Up Colors: Holiday make-up is unlike any other in that you want to look 'festive', especially around Christmas and New Year's Eve. Some of my very favorite holiday colors are:
*gloMinerals gloShimmer brick, gleam. Pretty colors that are versatile for cheeks and eyes!
*gloMinerals gloSmoky Eye Kit. Great colors, all in one palette, for that amazing Smoky Eye.
*gloMinerals gloCream Eyeliner - Ebony. Never has black eyeliner lasted so long, or had such great, dark pigment.
*LipToxyl Sheer Lip Colors. There's a shade for every skin tone and they have a hint of plumper, but not the normal intolerable sting that can come with some. The Nude is great for the classic look, and the Precious will look good on just about anyone!
After all these fun colors and fabulous faces, you will need a great cleanser to clean out those pores and give you a fresh face for the new year.
