BENEV Vitamin C products use the highly stabilized oil soluble form of Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic acid) that has the ability to penetrate the outer layers of the skin. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant and is one of the protective substances that is involved in the capturing or neutralizing of free radicals formed upon exposure to UV radiation. Once penetration occurs in the epidermis (outer layer of the skin), Vitamin C reduces melanin to a colorless substance, inhibiting the formation of freckles, excessive darkening of the skin and age spots. Vitamin C has a pronounced toning and firming effect on the skin, making it ideal for use around the eyes (reduces puffiness) and other areas where aged skin is evident.
