To tone or not to tone, that is the question. Some people swear by toners, but still many beauty experts do not. Most toners are meant to remove all the remaining traces of oil, makeup, and dirt, but a good cleanser should do this anyway. If you feel like your cleanser is not getting all the pollutants from your skin but your skin is too sensitive to get more aggressive than a toner might just be what you need. But if you feel that you are getting good results then forgo the toner. Other reasons to use a toner include balancing out the PH levels in skin for more aggressive treatments, using them as a during the day cleaner at work or to remove makeup.
