ColoreScience Pro: A Powder that Doesn't Set in My Wrinkles...FINALLY!

ColoreScience Pro is so incredibly light, that you can even forget that you're wearing it...BIG bonus points in my book since I absolutely can't stand to "feel" makeup on my face throughout the day. Their products are recommended around the world by physicians with patients who either have difficult skin conditions or who may be in the recovery process of various skin treatments. It's highly recommended for a reason.....very simply...it works!

I was given a sample of the ColoreScience Pro Sunforgettable SPF 30 Powder Brush and began using it (initially randomly) several months ago. I was reluctant since I typically can't stand powders because they tend to set in my wrinkles and make me appear even older. I generally use a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen as a foundation. My initial use of the product was just using it as a powder to limit or decrease the oils on my face as the day progressed. It worked perfectly! I was still hesitant to just use it by itself thinking that my moisturizer was offsetting the wrinkle setting so if I just used it solely, that I would have the same old problem (most especially around my mouth).

One sunny day, my hubs and I were taking our little girl to the zoo. She typically has no issue with sunscreen, but for whatever reason that particular day she wasn't having ANY of it! I was in the process of putting my sunscreen on when I stumbled across the ColoreScience Pro Sunforgettable SPF 30 Powder Brush. I grabbed it and started using it on my face and then told her it was sunscreen. She was intrigued since it wasn't the typical cream and asked for some. I put it on her face and the application was so incredibly easy. She was happy....thus making my husband and I happy....and we were on our way to start our day. Since we were just going to the zoo (and running late with the sunscreen drama) I left the house with just the powder sunscreen on. MUCH to my surprise, the product didn't set in my wrinkles AND even without reapplying the product, my face was protected and I didn't even get the slightest bit of red to my face. SUCCESS!!! Do keep in mind that the instructions on this product are to reapply every two hours when in direct sun exposure, so I may have just lucked out. Now, needless to say, I put it on my daughter on a regular basis AND myself. I still tend to use it more as a powder since my tinted moisturizer evens my skin out a bit more, but there are days that I just throw this product on and go about my business.

This is one product that you can literally just grab and dab! I LOVE the fact that it's a brush and so incredibly easy to carry. It's small enough to even put in a small clutch and it takes seconds to put on. Even more surprisingly, even since I started using this product on an almost daily basis...I STILL have a decent amount left in the bottle (and there's really two of us using it). Try not to be too scared of the price since the product lasts forever!

Bottom line is that if their powders are this good.....then I can't wait to try even more of their products and I am a difficult gal to please in that department!

How does it work? Glypoic Complex (glycolic acid and alpha lipoic acid) penetrates the epidermis and works in three ways:

1. Glycolic acid loosens and dissolves the glue-like substance that holds the outer layer of cells to each other and to the underlying epidermis. These thick, piled up, clinging cells are responsible for the appearance of dry, rough, scaly skin, discolored skin and sun damaged spots. Thanks to Glypoic Complex(TM), these skin cells can now grow and slough in a normal fashion resulting in smoother, hydrated and vibrant skin. This process takes place at the opening of the pores to reduce pore size and blackheads.

2. Alpha lipoic acid is an essential element required for cell growth and improved cell metabolism. Alpha lipoic acid attacks free radicals that damage normal cell division and collagen formation and makes them inactive. This allows better and faster results with products containing Glypoic Complex(TM).

3. Glypoic Complex affects the deeper layers of the skin by improving collagen and elastin synthesis. As alpha lipoic acid inactivates free radicals that interfere with collagen production, glycolic acid stimulates elastin production. The synergistic result is improved skin tone and a decrease in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
